To Study the Effect on Expansion of Kuantan Port Consortium (KPC) Interm
of Social According to Public Perception

The expansion of port and urban development has strong connections that can be
improve urban quality. The expansion of Kuantan Port Consortium (KPC) will give many
impact to social, economy and environment of population. From that, the issue of arrival
immigrant is to overcome the lack of labor in Malaysian, will give negative impacts
become serious social problem. In this study, will focus to the social effect to immigrant,
local activities and local education according to the public perception at Kuantan area.
The research method is quantitative by using primary data from distributed to 200
respondents at Kuantan area through perception of general public. The research
hypothesis is the expansion of KPC on impact society. The results shows from analysis is
nullification hypothesis on the expansion of KPC on social impact. This is otherwise to the
early hypothesis that have positive impact to social. This research has been achieved the
objectives and answer the research question.
