relaxation peak and also that it changes very little between different measurements (at the same temperature).<br />

The parameters of the background function are fitted by minimizing the area between the experimental data<br />

and the background function (subjected to the condition that the integrand is strictly positive).<br />

It must be remarked that the concept underlying the procedure is quite general, and may be also applied to<br />

analogous processes in other domains, such as dielectric relaxation.<br />

Experimental data from Molybdenum loss modulus peaks were analyzed in order to validate the method,<br />

with good agreement with the results found in the literature.<br />
