This long-established cooperative on
Lake Constance holds surprises. Their
range “Winzerstolz”, i.e. winemaker’s
pride, is a real feat for the team around Martin
Frank and Valentin Wagner. With their clear
fruit expression and accuracy, the wines are
downright disarming. They show real substance
like the Grauburgunder, supported by
oak ageing, well-channelled power like the opulent
Weissburgunder or smooth accessibility
like the berry-tastic Spätburgunder. The lake is
emblazoned in gold - and rightly so, on the label
of the Muskateller, which shows this variety
from its elegant, cabinet-like side. Delightful!

Sängerhalde Grauer Burgunder trocken
A hint of wood, complex and clear fruit, berry and citrus
tones with a hint of Charentais melon. On the palate there is
power and substance, lively acidity, concentrated fruit, good
substance, lots of suppleness. A very complete Pinot Gris full

A finely-nuanced Riesling fruit, peach, a hint of honey, lemon
balm. On the palate there is good balance, delicate sweetness,
cultivated acidity, slender in alcohol, with discreet
tangy freshness, not too sweetly-tuned. A quite complete

Weissburgunder trocken
Fragrant, spicy with scents of hay, spring meadows, aniseed
pastry and some yeast. On the palate quite powerful,
full-bodied, ripe and a delicate texture, lively acidity, a big
bruiser, but definitely in balance. Ideal accompaniment to

Fohrenberg Spätburgunder trocken
Blackberry and elderberry, a hint of wood, discreet herbaceous
notes. On the palate juicy and silky, clear, full fruit, combines
texture and structure, has an elegant layout and is clearly
mineral-coloured with a homogeneous length. A perfectly

Exuberant spiciness on the nose, freshly-grated nutmeg,
citric notes, some yeast. On the palate juicy, bundled, racy
acidity, fine sweetness supporting the spiciness, good substance
