With an imposing 46 hectares of
vineyards on Mosel, Saar and Ruwer,
Weingut Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt
cultivates an unusually broad spectrum
of top sites in the three river valleys of
this region. For 650 years, it has been this estate’s
aim to fashion the unmistakable personality
of these great sites into unique Rieslings –
and with the current vintage they have once
again given justice to this aspiration. The dry
Rieslings demonstrate a calm profundity and
spice; the noble sweet wines, like the Beerenauslese
from the Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr
site, which evidently reflect origin.

Fine spicy aroma of herbs and yellow stone fruit, freshly cut
pineapple and hints of wet stone. On the palate, the wine is
calm and juicy with texture and mineral spiciness, slender
structure and yet has flavourful intensity; phenolic and almost
a little bit peppery, young. 11,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€
freshness and ripe acid structure; on the midpalate there is
pronounced spicy-slate nuances. Real potential for years of
ageing. Patience will be rewarded! 10 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Riesling Beerenauslese
Brown sugar and lime peel, shows quite primary fruit on the
nose. Comparatively sweet on the palate, but not very viscous.
Extremely dense acidity, almost astringent. Medium
depth and length, beautiful and refined interplay of the elements.

Riesling Spätlese
Candied apricot on the nose, blossom honey and caramelised
nuts, also hints of orange blossom. Generous on the palate,
nice balance of fine acidity and juicy sweetness, fine phenolic
tartness, slightly viscous but pleasant flow. Fine and charming.

Riesling Kabinett
Herbal notes with spicy-slate notes, apricot, blossom honey
and ripe apple. Well-balanced Kabinett with the necessary

Delicately fruity nose with aromas of yellow stone fruit, apple,
delicate scented flowers and also freshly grated lemon
peel. Slenderly built, delicate Riesling in the style of a
dry Kabinett, finely chiselled acidity, cool minerality, some
