The entire country is swept up in a
Sekt-boom and a whole new generation
of winemakers manages to spirit sparkle
and fine bubbles into champagne flutes. One
thing, however, is easily overlooked: The Roth
family has been making premium Sekt (sparkling
wines) since the 1970s and has helped lay
the foundations of today’s Sekt trajectory. Their
expertise clearly shows itself in a most delicious
fashion in their magnificent “Pinot B privé” –
uniting freshness with sensuality. This Sekt is a
highlight in the absolutely convincing wine
range made by the Wilhelmshof – not following
trends but building on artisanal skill.

Finely chiselled Pinot fruit, white and redcurrants, citric
notes, yeast, passion fruit. On the palate there is a lot of traction
and tension, fine mousse, discreet sweetness with a racy
and yet elegant core, but also fruity volume.

Weissburgunder Spätlese trocken
Berry and fragrant nose that announces its Spätlese character
with apricot, honey and caramelised nuts, aniseed biscuits.
Juicy and soft on the palate the sweet extract also
shows the structure of a Spätlese. Fine spice and texture, elegant

Herbal notes and grated lemon zest. Very sophisticated acidity,
delicate palate flow, delicate sweetness, slightly tactile
mineral underlay. A quite subtle Riesling sekt, approachable
in a very stylish way. Elegance combined with expressiveness.

Spätburgunder Spätlese trocken
The nose still shows clear notes of barrique ageing, juniper
berries, clove and fruit, cherry and redcurrants. Good balance
on the palate, the wood tannins are still somewhat

Riesling Kabinett trocken
Apple and apricot in the delicate and unobtrusive fragrance,
tangerine and lime peel. Juicy and creamy on the
palate there is clear and pure fruit and good freshness, the
acidity is lively and supple. Emphatically lean construction,
spicy and finely mineral - has natural ease.
