We pay our compliments to Stephanie
Grober-Feetz and her husband
Tino Feetz, the couple really surprised
us with their 2019 white wines and their
2018 red wines. The wines have drive, freshness
and substance and show the fine minerality
of the terraced vineyards in the sites of Freyburger
Edelacker, Grossjenaer Blütengrund
and Zscheiplitzer Himmelsreich. Amongst the
whites, it is the two Rieslings that take the top
spots, amongst the reds, it is the wood-spiced
Spätburgunder “Barrique” from the Edelacker
site. We are pleased to reward this performance
with the second star. Congratulations!

Auslese trocken Holzfass
Fresh citrus on the nose - orange, tangerine, but also herbaceous,
slightly mineral undertones. On the palate juicy, compact,
firm acid backbone, toasty wood notes, dense and
full-bodied. Great potential, will develop towards greater
spiciness. 13 Vol.-%. synthetic closure , €€

Auslese trocken Holzfass
Nuances of wood, honey notes, nutty tones, pepper. On the
palate there is creaminess in the background and a very
round and homogeneous silkiness and fine extract. Full, ripe
acidity; a light spicy wood note accompanies the flavours on

Plum and raspberry, full-fruited, starting to develop. Discreet
use of wood. On the palate plump, very aromatic, cherry
fruit, discreet caramel, quite round and full-bodied, finegrained
tannin, firm acid backbone, substantial extract,
chalky mineral finish. 14 Vol.-%. synthetic closure , €€€
90 2016 Zscheiplitz Himmelreich
Portugieser Eiswein
Dark gold with mahogany reflections. On the nose sultana,
dried apple, a hint of beeswax, panforte. Smooth palate,
slightly viscous, light in substance, ripe acidity, relatively
long ferment thus strong in alcohol. Great with blue cheese.

A finely-spiced Riesling fragrance, discreetly balsamic and
limey, smoky, apple, peach. On the palate silky and nuanced;
well-rounded with a fine, cultivated vein of acidity.
