This is the right place to stick up for the
genre of quiet wines, wines that don’t
wow with powerful and loud arguments
but with fine nuance, sensitively harmonised
balance, clear fruit expression and moderate
alcohol levels. The wines of the organically-certified
Weingut Landmann belong to
this latter category – which makes them a little
atypical for Baden. It is cellar master Tino
Scholz who is responsible for this style who
was responsible for making the wines in 2019,
his first vintage here. All the wines have this in
common. How wonderful that we can look
forward to more.
90 2019 Chardonnay trocken
Spicy notes on the nose, citrus fruit, yellow apple and pear,
also flowers and meadow herbs. Slenderly-built on the palate
there is good extract, slightly salty and citric hints, balanced
acidic structure. No loud stylistics, coherent and compact.

89 2019 Pinot Blanc trocken
Yellow flowers on the nose, mirabelle plums, apricot and
nutty aromas and floral notes. Fruity and juicy on the palate,
yellow fruit and also fine lemon juice. Mild acidity, fine structure,
with pleasant spiciness in the middle of the palate,
calm and coherent. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €
89 2019 Riesling
A grapey, fruity fragrance, pineapple and white currant.
Lightweight on the palate, quite fresh acidity, restrained
sweetness in a fine tart style, juicy finish, a very neat varietal
expression, balanced and expressive with good length.

89 2019 »Cuvée La Tuni« tr. WB/MT/CH/SB/PG
Blend of five grape varieties that offers a fruity aroma of
apple and citrus notes, flowers and apricots. Juicy and finely-crafted.
On the palate there are apple notes and a balanced,
mild acidity. Not a daredevil but quiet and spicy.

89 2019 Pinot Gris trocken
Pear and a dash of fresh pineapple juice on the nose, spicy
notes, fresh bay leaf, apple sauce. On the palate juicy and
underlaid with fine spice, slight tartness of apple peel,
slenderly-built with mild acidity, slightly phenolic. A solid
food wine. 13 Vol.-%, cork, €
