There were times when Sven Leiner’s
wines were seen as inaccessible, brittle
and anachronistic – all that at a time,
when biodynamic farmers like Leiner were
still eyed suspiciously – and Leiner was committed
to these methods fifteen years ago. By
now we know that Leiner’s wines need one
thing above all: patience. Then the wines show
how individual, striking, unadulterated and
unconventional they truly are. In the meantime,
the wines also convey Leiner’s experience
and confidence, a winemaker who has
grown into a real personality. Absolute winemaking
craftsmanship!

Clear honey yellow. On the nose brioche, almond, lime zest,
light flowers, pear. Fine mousse on the palate, lively acidity,
slightly tannic, lemon, green apple, balanced. Vinous character,
good structure, fine length, elegant. Versatile.

The nose reveals apple, flowers and delicate wood aromas,
as well as stone fruit - apricot. Compact structure. On the
palate there is juicy fruit and well-woven fruit sweetness,
texture and charm, spiciness and depth. Very clear in expression,
genuine. Good length. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

Deep yellow in the glass. A little apricot, pear and apple skin
on the nose, gentle spice and smoke, vanilla. Powerfully built
on the palate, very juicy with clear fruit, apple and apricot,
fine spices and fresh ginger. Quite elegant, young.
