What initially started out as a hobby
for Axel Bauer in 2013 has now
evolved into a sizeable winery
with some 16ha of vineyards. Since 2019, Torsten
Klein has been in charge of winemaking,
as Axel Bauer tells us, this is a “clear step towards
expressing more elegance and finesse in
the wine style.” The potential of these sites, all
situated around the Bühler valley, is to be expressed
with more precision: reduced yields,
spontaneous ferments and long lees ageing
which will all contribute to the endeavour. An
accomplished trajectory so far that promises
much to look forward to.

The balance between stony minerality and fresh yellow fruit
is really exciting in this Sauvignon Blanc. A hint of spicy aromas
still resonates. A wine that is light and yet diverse in the
overall picture. A very unique character, exciting.

and honeydew melon, also delicate nutty notes. On the palate,
it is soft with a hint of mineral freshness, powerful structure

The name says it all, the colour is yellow gold. The intense
aroma is characterised by rose petals and a hint of bitter almond.
Slender and taut on the palate, shows grip and a
slightly tart note. Exciting Muskateller with its own character.

In this Gewürztraminer, fresh peonies par excellence are
found on the nose. The florality is also present on the palate.
Good substance, the acidity of the wine is very restrained,
which makes it a versatile food wine. Also with spicy dishes.

Blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and a little Sauvignon
Blanc. On the nose, discreet tropical aromas of passion fruit
89 2019 »Handwerk« Weissburgunder
Landwein trocken
A very juicy Pinot Blanc with a fragrance reminiscent of
passion fruit and green banana. Its body has a rather medium
intensity, but everything is in good balance. A nice and
well-balanced wine that you like to open with friends.
