The family-run Weingut Trautwein in
Bahlingen started farming their vineyards
organically in 1980. In 2019
Anne-Christin Trautwein, who is also responsible
for winemaking, took over the estate
which she now runs with her husband Christoph
Trautwein. The focus is on Pinot-varieties
which find ideal conditions here in the Kaiserstuhl.
The wines are fermented spontaneously
and have extended time on their lees.
They are living, precise, natural and digestible
wines that leave you with a sense of contentment
and harmony.

Urkäsenthal trocken
Eight grape varieties make up the Gemischter Satz from the
Bahlinger Urkäsenthal, yellow-fruits on the nose, with apricot
and pear. The powerful construction on the palate is
filled with lots of fruit and spice, confident acidity, phenolic
grip and minerality. Uniquely special. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€
good balance and natural character, dry and unaffected, fine
acidity vein, smooth tannins of high quality, mineral.

In the fragrance - honeydew melon, pear, walnut, also hints
of ripe yellow fruit. Combination of power and juicy texture.
On the palate there is intense fruit and spice, ripe acidity and
a mineral foundation, dry and also with traction.

Spicy and also a smoky nose with pear and pear peel, quince
and also peppery hints. Sets out softly and juicy on the palate,
the sweet extract supports this round impression, but
also density, spiciness and minerality, which provide complexity.

Spätburgunder trocken
Smells of cassis and wild berries, also dark spicy notes, juniper
berry and wood spice. Strongly-composed Pinot Noir with

Stone fruit in the juicy and spicy nose, apricot and tangerine
peel. On the palate there is substance, good freshness
and a lively acidity accompanied by texture. Juicy and fine
spice, again some apricot, fine grip, natural character.
