In the first year after the management
change at this estate, the outlines of both
changes and innovations are slowly becoming
apparent. The wines appear to be
made a little fruitier and have a touch more residual
sweetness here and there than in previous
years. Considering the exceptional site
portfolio that this estate is blessed with, we
can only hope that the site-affinity for Rieslings
will be maintained. Special mention
should also go to the Sekts which will benefit
from the substantial holdings of reserve wines
over the coming years.

Balsamic, spontaneous fermentation, spice, plus notes of
mirabelle plum, apple skin and iron oxide. On the palate
there are buttery phenolics, full and poised on the one hand,
but also finely-nerved and juicy-mineral on the other. A subtle
site and vintage style of great distinction.

Golden yellow in colour. Apple and apple skin, fine patina of
maturity. The palate is very linear; lively mousse, striking
acidity, lots of substance, almost chewy, juicy, purist in its
structure. Very dry, ideal. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

Distinct wood, coconut and aniseed biscuits, balsamic tones.
Spicy rather than fruity. On the palate; silky, powerful, ripe
phenolics, a powerful, sturdy construction, underlying viscosity
meets fresh minerality. The vintage style dominates
the site style. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Yeasty, delicate and nuanced. Still closed with regards to the
fruit. Lots of extract on the palate, ripe but firm acidity, medium-fine
mousse, strong body. A vinous Sekt that would be exceptional
as a food accompaniment. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€
