Weingut Forsthof, founded in 1753,
makes its successful debut here in
our guide. Under Andreas Roth’s
management, two generations work hand in
hand, resulting in a fruitful interplay of experience,
dynamism and innovation. This, naturally,
benefits the wines that come across as
fresh-faced and serene. The twelve hectares
are farmed organically and sixty percent of
plantings are red varieties. The very skillfullymade
series of top reds carries its name “Ars
Vinitoris” – the art of the winemaker – deservedly.We
look forward to further artworks
from this estate.

Scents of ripe pear, walnuts, pineapple and spices. On the
palate, full-bodied, juicy and textural, powerful construction
with volume but without losing its measure. Has a natural effect,
excellent gastronomic accompaniment to risotto and

Aromas of pear, red apple and apple peel followed by citrus
fruit, fine spice and yellow flowers. On the palate there is
clear, sweet fruit, juice, textural and good substance which is
well-balanced. Medium length and spicy in the finish. Harmonious

Lemberger, Merlot and Cabernet Carbon scents on the nose,
ripe dark fruit, complex and also spicy. With good concentration,
power and spice on the palate, the tannins are bursting
with power. A fireside wine with good potential.

Dark in appearance, cassis and black cherry in the lush nose,
also herbs and beetroot; voluminous and impressive. On the
palate there are powerful and incisive tannins. A bold and
still young wine that needs time but also has good potential
