Weingut Disibodenberg looks back
on a few eventful months, just last
year its name changed from Weingut
Klostermühle, then there was investment in
a modernised cellar, and Riesling now moves
to centre stage as the purchase of the Kloster
Disibodenberg site brings exquisite Riesling
terroir into their portfolio. Cellar master
Thomas Zenz knows just how to exploit that,
especially with the nobly sweet Rieslings which
complete an already multi-faceted range of
wines with substantial Pinot in red and white –
the Sekts are impressive as well. We are certain
that much more will happen yet!

Kapellenberg Grauburgunder trocken
Fine smoke accompanies the powerful nose with quince, ripe
pear and Mediterranean herbs. Massive Pinot from the warm
year of 2018, which proudly and powerfully follows its course

Mango and rose scent in the bouquet with sultanas and Asian
spices. Juicy and creamy on the palate, light viscosity, honey
and some saffron. Generous without ever neglecting elegance.
Mild with an attractive underlying acidity, harmonious
and multi-layered. 8 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Riesling Auslese
Initially a little closed, the wine then shows a delicate nose of
white flowers, lime zest and fresh grass clippings. On the palate
an immensely juicy acidity that carries the sweetness
perfectly and resonates for a long time. A delicious afternoon

Riesling Spätlese
Candied peach, apricot tart, honey and fine herbs on the
nose. Sweet fruit on the palate, apricot and also mango, accompanied
by ripe and present acidity, elegant, well-woven,
fine astringency and mineral spiciness, nice flow.
