Weingut Borth is located in the village
of Adolzfurt in the idyllic Brettach
valley. Founded in 1977 it
grew out of a little country inn. Currently, Michael
Borth farms 7 hectares of vines and grows
Cabernet Cubin, Auxerrois and Muskat-Trollinger
next to the more classic vareities of Riesling,
Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder or Lemberger.
Borth eschews all sorts of experimentation
when it comes to making his fairly-priced
wines. The very clear-cut Riesling “MG” stands
out. The family also runs a lovely rustic Weinstube
where Hohenlohe specialities like roasts
or Schälripple (cured pork ribs) are served.

Strong yellow appearance. Scents of fir tree honey, ripe stone
fruit, apricot tart and caramelised almonds. Dry and clearly
defined on the palate, not too broad with ripe acidity. Generous
but also clearly defined, a Riesling with good perspectives.

Intense aromas of blade of mace and elderberry fruit. Fruity
with lively tannins on the palate, gripping but not too rustic.
A wine with regional character that is welcome at any barbecue
and also with vegetarian delights. Slender and simultaneously

Intense aroma of white and yellow flowers, ripe apricot and
also a hint of marzipan. Full-bodied on the palate with good
volume, the noticeable sweetness blends well into the
breadth. Typical Spätlese character, generous and perfect

Powerfully-composed blend of Lemberger, Pinot Noir and
Cabernet Cubin, also intense scents of dark fruit and spices,
freshly crushed juniper berry and smoke. Good volume and
also power, medium density and good length. Ageing potential.

Strong blackberry fruit on the nose, followed by tobacco,
juniper berry, forest floor and smoky notes. On the palate
there is clear fruit, blackberry and black cherry, strong
contours, pervaded by fine acidity. Medium complexity, value
