Utmost care can be detected in each and
every wine made by Carolin Bergdolt
– as well as her devotion to the stylistic
ideal of freshness. The superfine density of her
Pinot wines and the scented purity of her Rieslings
are exemplary. And yet nothing is ostentatious,
all is calm, confident, beautifully
sure-footed and stylistically coherent. It is a
true joy to taste these wines. Carolin Bergdolt
evidently knows how to write the current and
future chapters of this 1754 founded estate –
as well as that of the Weissburgunder tradition
her father started.

Ripe citrus freshness is both immediate and vivid. Tangerine
peel accompanies ripe stone fruit with zesty aromatics and
frames the wine with freshness. The palate is ripe, smooth,
almost viscous and yet fine. Bitter phenolics provide a counterpoint.

Some toast and snaste mask the ripe cherries on the nose
but hint at depth and texture. Delicate, ripe fruit has freshness,
density and fine, taut tannins. A calm, gentle interpretation

with a wonderful scent of peel and pithy apple skin. The
freshness on the palate is wonderfully sublime, cool and anchored
in depth. Softness, density and focus within the texture

The aromatic combination of the finest creaminess and the
scent of ripe tangerine peel is downright beguiling. It continues
on the palate in the same way with aromatics, ripe,
mouth-watering freshness, citrus-skinned texture and supple

The purest citrus scent fills the nose: a delicious synthesis
of crushed, aromatic citrus leaves, lemon and ripe mandarine
peel. The same ripe citrus characters are found on
the palate. Invigorating, pure, fresh, joyful. Wonderful
