The Langenwalter family presented us
with marvels of balance this year. You
can taste the expertise in both vineyard
and cellar in these wines which have no need
for any frills: there are neither overblown aromas
of wood, nor overripe fruit, nor any excessive
sweetness. Instead the wines really
show off their varietal character, like the ripe,
rounded Gewürztraminer, the absolutely gastronomic
and calm Weissburgunder and the
minerally tense Burgweg Riesling. Please keep
up the good work!

Peach and nectarine on the nose, slightly citrusy, grapefruit
and blood orange, tangerine, mineral undertones. On the palate
full bodied, but also juicy; pithy acidity, high intensity on
the mid-palate yet still quite compact and youthful. Excellent

Nutty fragrance, linseed, hay, yeast, white chocolate. Round
and supple on the palate, good traction, suitably delicate
phenolics, medium extract density, well integrated, refined

On the nose aromas of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir; white
flowers, mirabelle plum, some citrus fruit, raspberry and
cherry. Concise freshness and clear fruit, lean and juicy, texture,
light spiciness. Straightforward appearance with good
structure - versatile. 12 Vol.-%. cork, €€
91 2018 Weisenheim Halde St. Laurent tr.
Dark chocolate, blueberry muffin, noticeable new wood, with
aeration also herbaceous aromas. Soft and supple onset to
palate followed by lively acidity; delicate fruit sweetness and
silky tannins give structure and great elegance.

Gewürztraminer trocken
Blood orange, lychee, rose and clove. Supple and soft on
the nose, round and plump on the mid-palate, good volume,
pleasant sweetness, discreet substance, ripe but balanced
acidity. A Gewürztraminer with late harvest body
and very precise fruit. 13,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €€
