Absolutely solid craftmanship is what
we tasted in the wines Michael Trossen
presented: the slate savouriness is
pronounced and chiselled, the wines have expressive
aromas and maintain that balance between
density and typical Mosel liveliness on
the palate. The 2019 vintage will be memorable
for Michael Trossen since he even made a
Trockenbeerenauslese. He also reports that
due to sufficient water availability during the
main ripening phase, the minerality of these
wines was more pronounced than ever. With
that amount of backbone these wines have a
great and long life ahead of them!

Spätlese trocken
Blood orange and vine peach, smoky notes and a hint of rose
petal. On the palate, creamy and bold onset, lively sweetness,
then acidity slowly gaining in piquancy, substantial and
tactile-minerality on the finish. Lots of extract, embedded in

Very fine scents of botrytis, a spectrum from citrus to yellow
fruit to sultana. On the palate there is juicy acidity and discreet
viscous sweetness, a great arc of tension. Mineral underpinning
and homogeneously accompanied by fruit. Potential

Fresh citrus on the nose, with some yeast and slate notes,
with air contact also yellow-fruits with hints of mirabelle
plums. A very clear, bundled aroma. On the palate comparatively
rich for a Kabinett, ripe acidity, smooth background, restrained

Fresh citrus and lavender scents and slate mineral savouriness.
On the palate there is a lot of juice, a soft base, the
sweetness-acidity-span is taut. The wine has rather a round,
compact and at the same time Kabinett-fresh impression.

Mineral on the nose, balsamic, but also intense yellow-fruits.
Typically opulent Spätlese scents of mirabelle plums, yellow
fleshed peach and passion fruit. On the palate there is
some volume, fruit-borne sweetness, cultivated acidity and
