Farming: in transition to organic
Martin and Ulrike Reimann are the
fourth generation of their family to
farm the Lindenhof and its ten hectares
of vines. Their focus is on Riesling, Chardonnay
and Spätburgunder but there also is a
little Frühburgunder and Gewürztraminer.
The vineyards are in conversion to organic
farming and will be certified in 2021. With the
current range of wines he presented for tasting,
Martin Reimann really lives up to his
name as a Pinot-specialist – but he also knows
how to handle Riesling, as the dense and tension-laden
“Reserve” impressively proves. A
strong performance!

Riesling trocken
Fruity aroma of stone fruit, apricot and peach, papaya, light
flowers and a hint of saffron and wood spice. Lean and taut
on the palate with tension and good ripe fruit extract, juicy
acidity and minerality are interwoven. The fine sweetness
provides charm. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

dense and tightly-woven with sweet extract and ripe acidity.

Beautiful Burgundian nose with fine smoke, melon, butternut
squash, pear and toasted walnuts. Relaxed and supple on
the palate, fine acid vein, elegantly-staged volume and richness,
well-integrated wood, juicy preserved lemon. Long finish.

Sonnenmorgen Weissburgunder trocken
Multi-layered nose with flowers, vanilla, apricot, apple, quince
and smoky notes. Powerful with lots of volume and substance.
Juicy and lots of spice, ripe acidity, supporting phenolic structure,

Spätburgunder trocken
Powerful smell of wood ageing and new barrique which dominates
the nose. Behind all this is red fruit and herbs and

Claude plum, fine apple, tomato leaf and also mineral
hints. Juicy, spicy and with fruit sweetness on the palate,
phenolic hints with gentle bitterness create a contrast,
