Weingut Georg Müller Stiftung underpins
its standing in the Rheingau.
Under estate manager and cellar master Tim Lilienström,
the estate has been on an upward trajectory
for a while. This winemaker from Lower
Saxony knows how to exploit the potential of
92 2018 Hattenheim Nussbrunnen Riesling GG
Vivid and nutty nose with floral notes. A clearly-structured
Riesling on the palate: full-bodied and emphatically dry, with
animating minerality and wonderfully spicy. Harmonious and
full of tension, a great food wine, also has ageing potential.

92 2018 Hallgarten Jungfer Riesling GG
This wine inspires with its intense spontaneous fermentation
spiciness and smoky mineral notes. You will look for fruit
in vain, but you get a complex, animating Riesling with spice,
texture and fine sweetness-acidity interplay.

91 2019 Hattenheim Hassel Riesling GG
On the nose, a dense, but complex, impression of ripe apricots
and toasted rice, also liquorice. Quite a sturdy structure,
strong acidity, well-balanced sweetness. Finally, the ripe
apricots return on the finish. Hearty with good flow.

92 2019 Oestrich Lenchen Riesling Auslese
Melon, green tea and lychee perfume the finely-woven nose.
The fine fruitiness persists on the palate without becoming
too lush. The taut acidity is very nice, giving the Auslese an
unusual flow. Good balance and potential for development.
7,5 Vol.-%, cork
the 19 hectares of vineyards – among them such
famed sites as Wisselbrunnen, Hassel or Nussbrunnen.
Lilienström clearly lends his signature
to the wines and knows how to handle wood,
which is also used for maturing Riesling. His
Grosse Gewächse, his noble sweet wines and the
Spätburgunders are all most convincing.
