Eva and Alexander Eisele tread their
own and courageous path in Hessigheim,
dominated as it is by its cooperative
wine culture. They took their estate
over in 2016 and now cultivate nine hectares
of vines of which about two thirds are in the
terraced steep sites of Triassic limestone. Since
2017, the estate has been certified organic by
Bioland. The wines are fermented spontaneously,
spend an extended time on their gross
lees, are only given minimal sulphur dioxide
and are labelled as Landwein. A most individual
collection with a wonderfully-bundled
Riesling and the red blend “Adam” at its top.

Scents of citrus fruit, amalfi lemon, apple, meadow herbs
and ripe stone fruit. Well-bundled on the palate with traction
and tension, also juicy texture and a layer of slightly tart phenolics
provides grip and spice with seamlessly-integrated

Lingering notes from the long fermentation, a slightly ethereal
tone that gradually diminishes followed by ripe passion
fruit, pear and citrus fruit with wood-ageing nuances. Powerful
and firmly-built on the palate with good density, extract
and texture. Ageing potential. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, an
obvious Cabernet scent marked by cassis, some bell pepper
and lots of spice. Very clear fruit expression, powerful with
smooth tannins and good density. Good length and potential.

Clear and defined fruit, spicy cherry notes, juniper berry as
well as hints of smoke. Solid and compact on the palate with
a lot of precision and traction with nicely-expressed fruit and
finely-chiselled acidity that propels the composition forward.

Initial herbaceous scents, rosemary, cherry, almond shell
and toasted aromas. Tightly-contoured on the palate,
compact and lean, clear fruit, dry and kitsch-free, with
traction and tension. The wood is well-integrated with fine
acidity. A good Trollinger example. 12 Vol.-%, cork, €€
