Tina Pfaffman knows how to lift the
mood. Her wines are just the same:
sunny and carefree, always prettily attired
and utterly without fault. Nonetheless,
this Frankweiler winemaker knows how to
imbue that harmonious nature of her wines
with real substance – like her berry-ish Burgunders
“Exklusiv”– both for Weiss and Grau.
She stakes a claim towards much greater terroir
expression with her Riesling “Oberer Affolter”-
it will be a savoury delectation in two
to three years. Lifted mood guaranteed!

Oberer Affolter Riesling trocken
Lemon yellow and clear in the glass. On the nose scents of
lemon, ripe apple, pear and wet stone. On the palate there is
zesty acidity, complemented by a hint of apricot. Expressive
and very well balanced. A medium body with a long finish.

Slightly buttery on the nose, with ripe Pinot berry notes,
blueberry and cashew nuts. Full on the palate with an elegant
sweetness-acidity interplay. Soft foundation, appetising
fruit, finishes with juiciness and delicate sweetness. A ripe,

Pale lemon yellow. On the nose, scents of young hazelnut,
lime and ripe pear. Medium bodied on the palate with good
acidity which sufficiently balances further flavours of ripe,

Fragrance develops in the glass; mango, peach and lime. On
the palate, a light herbal note is added, accompanied by honeydew
melon and nectarine. The lively acidity ideally balances
the residual sugar for a fine tart flavour.

Lemon yellow in the glass. Varietal aroma of lemon, lime
and green apple. On the palate there is lively acidity, delicate
sweetness - the aromas on the nose are supplemented
by nectarine, apricot and sweet peach.
