The very first reaction of the tasting team
– had this been possible – would have
been to fire up the barbecue and grill a
decent slice of beef steak. Such was the sentiment
when confronted with the opaque and
spice-scented “Dicke B” in our glasses. Described
as very animating and masculine, this
blend has turned out extemely well for winemaker
Johannes Bauerle. Just like his elegant
“BB”. This time round, the reds just about
trump the whites, which nonetheless stride confidently.
The Riesling “Plan B” is lively, the Sauvignon
Blanc “Partie Fumé” connects Swabian
provenance with international style. Well done!

Flows densely into the glass, fine elegant scent of Mediterranean
herbs like sage and rosemary, followed by peach and
yellow plums. A bit fresher on the palate with pronounced
acidity, very stimulating. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Pale straw yellow colour in the glass. A light herbal scent
with hints of mirabelle plums, pear, hay and a touch of vanilla.
On the palate there is good substance which shows a stimulating
creaminess with nice, uncomplicated freshness and
a good finish. Pairs well with food. 13 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€

Flows dark red opaque into the glass. On the nose blueberries,
forest floor, also dark spices. On the palate tight and
juicy at the same time, very stimulating, bold and also animalistic.
An ample mouthful of wine, perfect with a grilled
beef steak. 14 Vol.-%. cork, €€
90 2018 »BB« Spätburgunder trocken
Beautiful ruby colour shimmers in the glass with the delicate
scent of red berries, cherries, cinnamon and plums. Round,
juicy, dense and long on the palate with a balanced and cool
acidity. Pinot Noir with profile that can be enjoyed on its own
or to accompany food. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€
89 2019 »Partie Fumé« Sauvignon Blanc tr.
Very fragrant wine with notes of cassis, mown grass, lime
zest, fine smoke, and also ground elder and elderberry
stems. Compact and firmly-built on the palate, balanced
acidity, creamy, dense and harmonious. A long finish with a
fresh hay scent. 12,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €€
