The development at this winery, owned
by art professor Rainer Beck hailing all
the way from Swabia, is gratifying –
and a second star is well deserved. We were
both surprised and delighted by the Cabernet
Franc, with its fresh fruit and polished tannins.
‘Cool climate’ could hardly taste better. Cellar
master Jacob Wiedemann’s other wines are
also convincing, like the expressive Riesling
“Spontan” and the finesse of the Weissburgunder
“Jubiläumswein“. We also recommend the
Saxon speciality Goldriesling with its freshness
and precision. Congratulations!

The nose delivers what the name promises: spontaneous.
Spicy and compactly-built Riesling with character and a little
obstinacy. Phenolically-layered, unadorned and with good
tension, juicy and with ripe lively acidity. Shows provenance

The bouquet shows flowers, apple and yellow fruit with smoky
notes and dried ginger. The palate is juicy with a well framed
texture; elegant, with fine fruit-sweetness, delicately-spiced.
Finely-crafted and extracted, nuanced and full of finesse.

Spicy and complex nose with notes of cassis and fine wood
spice, some roasted peppers, blood orange and spices like
allspice. Tautly-built on the palate, not too powerful with
fine, juicy fruit, interwoven acidity and fine tannins. Elegant

Scheurebe Auslese
Medium, clear yellow. Piquant nose with lots of black and
redcurrant aromas, herbal spice, lemon balm and lime zest.
On the palate black and redcurrant, well judged acidity,
powerful sweetness and juicy lime-freshness. Elegant

Transparent yellow in the glass. Notes of green apple on
the nose, along with grated lemon zest and herbal notes.
