This family-run estate in the picturesque
village of Rhodt unter Rietburg makes
wines with structure and depth. This
time round, they have sent us an exciting selection
of wines including three different Sauvignon
Blancs, which all show power, drive and
elegance. The Spätburgunders are scented and
concentrated and make you want to take another
sip. Things have also changed visually:
the design has been elegantly updated. Brown
and grey colours now dominate and symbolise
the greatest treasure of the estate: the soils. At
the same time the wine range was also streamlined
so that even more focus lies on quality.

Sauvignon Blanc trocken
Complex bouquet with light toasted aromas, green pepper,
brioche, ripe peach, quince and lemon. On the palate there’s
a good acid structure; grapefruit, passion fruit and tomato
leaf complete the flavour spectrum. A wine that invites you

On the nose a delicate note of wood, violets, lemon zest and
ripe peach. On the palate the expressive acidity balances the
concentrated flavours of gooseberry, grapefruit and ripe
peach. Medium body, long finish. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€

A discreet scent of yellow apple, pineapple, star fruit and
clove on the nose. On the palate moderate use of wood with
vivid, balanced acidity. Apple again, plus almond; medium

Spätburgunder trocken
Mid purple. On the nose a rather linear scent of sweet cherries,
juniper and white pepper. On the palate flavours of honeysuckle,
raspberry and redcurrant leaf. Rather lean body with ripe tannins,
lively acidity and good finish. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€€
90 2019 Sauvignon Blanc trocken
Pale lemon yellow. Intense aromas of gooseberry, green
apple, pear and boxwood. On the palate bell pepper, ripe
honeydew melon, grapefruit and lemon. A typical representation
of the grape variety with lively acidity and a
