Without Christian Bamberger, the
Nahe region would not nearly be
as colourful, diverse and original
as it currently is. He makes it as obvious in his
present as in his previous offerings that he has
always looked beyond the horizons – once
again there are stylistic influences from stints

Deep, complex nose with notes of pear, yellow apple, vegetal
nuances, stone and fine smokiness. Clear, deep, round on the
palate with mineral hints, fine tannin, juicy pear and building
acidity. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Spicy earthy notes with cherry, blood orange and beetroot,
strong toasty aromas, violets and foliage. On the palate
there is ripe, supporting acid structure, concentrated,
high-quality tannin, good substance, volume, spice and also
Pinot Noir feeling. Youthful, lots of potential.

Blend of Cabernet Dorsa and Merlot. Concentrated aroma of
cassis and blackberry, black cherry, cigar box and dark chocolate.
Good volume and complexity on the palate there is rich
fruit, lots of spice with a strong supple tannins. California on
the Nahe. 14 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

Amarena cherry in the powerful aroma, strong toast aromas,
some leather, cigar smoke, mulberry, violets and lovage. Pinot
that draws its qualities from its substance and power on
the one hand, and from its volcanic soil on the other. A wine
with a strong signature. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€
abroad, California for instance. This
open-minded winemaker made his name with
powerful and wood-spiced Spätburgunders
like his “QX” and imaginative creations like a
white made from Merlot grapes. A new addition
to the range is the savoury Silvaner “Ü30”
from 36-year-old vines. Highly recommended!

Complex aromatics of apple, pear, hazelnut, fine spiciness,
some mint leaf and a hint of melon. Juicy, with fine spicy
grip, ripe acidity that is well-woven in, herbal notes, citric
hints. Fresh and juicy, ends with herbal spiciness.
