There is much joy in tasting the wines of
this Tauber Valley cooperative. Even
for relatively little money you can already
get your hands on a distinctly grown-up
Müller-Thurgau “Freihand”, or a dry Silvaner
Kabinett which is incredibly animating. Much
culinary imagination is evoked by the no-frills
and uncommonly well-balanced “Selektion”
of Weissburgunder. And finally, the red Pinot
varieties ignite proper fireworks: with sinewy,
cool-climate piquancy for Spätburgunder and
wonderfully opulent fruit for Schwarzriesling
(aka Pinot Meunier).

Some milk chocolate, sweet cherry, raspberry. On the palate
there is a stately body with a substantial, grainy and slightly
viscous background. Rich fruit in the middle of the palate,
but far from fully-developed, impressive density, yet also nuanced.

Discreet smoky notes, but also scents of dark berry fruit, elderberry
and wild strawberry. On the palate, full-bodied, very dense,
a noble, still very youthful astringency. Lively acidity that increases
over the course of the palate, chalky-mineral sensations, with

Raspberry, discreet hints of wood, floral notes and fruity aromas.
On the palate grainy, dense, with a lot of juiciness behind
the tannins, ripe acidity, strong tactile minerality;
chalky, salty and has a nice artisanal feel - great potential.

Fresh and fragrant, vibrant redcurrants, restrained use of
wood; a very fine Pinot scent. On the palate, delicate, but
with density, fresh tannins, great juiciness, and an invigorating
acidity. Excellent elegance! Good length and minerality.
