Laura Weber and her father Udo have presented
a many-facetted, versatile range
of wines: “Duo Surprise No.1”, for instance,
a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and
Scheurebe which is an explosive attack of fruit
onto the tastebuds. Then there are well-balanced
and layered Rieslings from the top sites
of Halenberg and Frühlingsplätzchen, which
really underscore both style and ambition.
Their Roter Riesling “Bienengärtchen” comes
across as mineral and elemental. Impressive!
We happily anticipate whatever this creative
daughter-father duo come up with next!

Riesling trocken
The bouquet is not focused on primary fruit, smoky notes
with apple in the background plus ripe stone fruit and mineral
hints. Juicy on the palate with ripe, delicate acidity, fruity
extract, good balance and medium complexity. Good length,
potential. Will mature well. 13 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€
the palate, sweetness and acidity in balance, somewhat phenolic
with grape juice, apricot and spices. Beautiful dancing

Rosenberg Roter Riesling trocken
Red apple on the nose followed by grapefruit, apricot, also
fine tart notes, blossoms and a hint of scented rose. Lots of
substance on the palate, depicts this old vineyard in an unembellished
and original fashion. Juicy, tart and salty minerality.

Halenberg Riesling trocken
Herbaceous notes to ripe fruit, peach, apricot and apple, also
fine smoke and flint. Compact and tightly-structured on the palate,
good extract, fine phenolics, ripe acidity, salty, notes of apple
and a mineral foundation. Good potential. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork

Riesling Auslese
Clear, medium yellow. On the nose a lot of spice, crushed
rock and ripe exotic fruit like passion fruit. Fine structure on

A petite aroma cluster of gooseberry, grapefruit, lychee
and mango form a fruity and voluptuous fragrance. On the
palate there is verve and also substance, again lots of fruit,
