LIEBFRAUENSTIFT-KIRCHENSTÜCK
This is the original and historic site of
“Liebfraumilch“ fame. Formerly, the site
covered 9ha/22 acres but was extended to
17ha/42 acres. The soils are a mix of what
the Rhine river brought here after being
forced into curving west by the Taunus
mountains: mineral-rich alluvial deposits of
rhyolite, limestone, deep gravel and sand.

WESTHOFEN | MORSTEIN
The oldest single site in Westhofen, 144ha/356
acres large, fully south-facing, rising from
140-280m/459-918ft, from a glacial valley to
a plateau. Only its core parcel of 50ha/123
acres is considered special. The aquiferous
limestone layers in the subsoil are covered in
heavy, calcareous clay and marl.
