Inter-generational relations are cordial
and smooth at Weingut Goldschmidt. Uli
Goldschmidt and his son Jonas share the
responsibilities in vineyard and cellar – and Jonas
sets new standards with his exciting series
of barrique-fermented white wines called
“Edition Jonas”. All the wines from this estate
which has been certified organic ever since
2002, in fact, have natural aura and serenity.
Their Riesling “S” shows real class and purity,
their rare Grünfränkisch shows a savoury profile,
while the ripe and confident Cabernet
Sauvignon opens new perspectives. Everything
is solid here.

The nose shows apple and herbal notes, also freshly-grated
lemon peel, floral hints. Well-built on the palate, lean and
athletic with good extract, juicy and spicy, more lemon notes,
cultivated acidity, good balance with a mineral finish.

tannins and attractive spice, penetrating, good density, long
and consistent. Rheinhessen can also offer Cabernet. A big

Closed nose with smoky aromas, also pear, melon and apricot.
Powerful structure on the palate, subtle juice and spice,
good sweet extract and density, the ripe acidity carries well.
This is likely to age well and has gastronomic potential.

Grauer Burgunder trocken
Walnut shell, smoke and ripe pear, yellow fruit, herbs and
spices. Lean and firm structure on the palate, good extract,
juice and texture combine with spice and fine sweetness,
pure fruit. Elegant Pinot style that belongs on the table.

Powerful nose of ripe blackcurrant, black cherry and finelybalanced
wood spice. Powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with ripe

with herbs and nutty aromas. Fresh and juicy with fine
spice on the palate, a balanced wine at one with its ripe
