There is one thing that Christine Huff
and her husband Jeremy Bird-Huff
have managed in the past few years with
impressive consistency: Weingut Fritz Ekkehard
Huff with its nine hectares of vines now is
a sought-after address in Nierstein and the Roter
Hang, or Red Slope. Steep sites, like Schloss
Schwabsburg which is particularly treasured
by Christine Huff, now have high currency
even beyond regional confines. Once again her
Riesling “Rabenturm” convinces with its firm
structure and mineral grip. The concentrated
and finely-woven Beerenauslese from the same
site is equally impressive. Exquisite!

On the nose bright yellow fruit, apricot and nectarine, also
stony minerality, compact and lively on the palate. Juicy with
stone fruit, imminent power and finely-pronounced fruitiness.
Nuanced, with tension, fine saltiness and citrusy, grippy

Red-green fruit on the nose, apple, rosehip, floral hints, fine
herbaceousness. Supple on the palate, intricate flow, stone
fruit, orange blossom, juicy citric acidity, a hint of liquorice,
creamy with spicy acid grip and good traction on the finish.

Fine spicy, yellow and red fruit, fresh apple and also meadow
herbs, dense and centred. Mature, lively fruit on the palate
with peach and apricot, fine minerality, straight acidity, increasingly

fresh citrus, ripe fruit and mint. On the palate clear extract,
