Weingut Forster has farmed its vineyards
organically ever since 1994.
“We make our own compost; this
ensures great nutrition for the vines and also
helps us to capture carbon in the soil,” the family
reports. Ever since cellar master Johannes
Forster started working with his parents Margit
and Georg Forster, the wines have gained in
precision. They stand out with their maturity,
balance and calmness, they are harmonious
and serene while also showing depth, like the
Riesling Schlossberg. Very recently, they also
extended their vinothek, or wine shop. Things
are afoot in Rümmelsheim!

Ripe concentrated fruit, sweet, crunchy apple and hints of
dark spice. Ripe fruit continues on the palate but very wellcomplemented
by chiselled, deep acidity, fine, lively juiciness
and defined phenolics. Focused finish with fine traction.

Warm notes on the nose of ripe yellow fruit, peach and apricot
with fine layers of sweetness and caramel nuances.
Slender on the palate with juicy acidity, sweet fruit, orange
and lime zest. Well-paced with a fine grip on the finish.

Frühburgunder trocken
Deep, intense wine with mineral and vegetal hints and blackberry.
Concentrated and powerful palate of dark spice, wild
raspberry, floral nuances and herbs. Fine-grained generous
tannin, very well-balanced and flowing with fine acidity.

Rich, clear yellow. On the nose honey, dried apricot, sultana and
spice. The palate offers grippy sweetness, balanced acidity,
dates, honey, some caramel and roasted almonds. Nice structure
