Responsibilities and competences are
clear-cut at Weingut Georg Gustav
Huff: Stefan Huff looks after the red
wines, his brother Daniel after the whites –
while father Dieter can usually be found in the
vineyards on the Roter Hang, or Red Slope.
And we have no doubt that they are a most
well-coordinated team – how else could we
explain that they yet again presented an outstanding
range of wines. The Rieslings offer
minerality depth, tension and elegance; the Pinots
offer substance and grip. And the Silvaner
will even convince sceptics.

Complex, clear, spice on the nose; red and yellow fruit, meadow
herb, sweet, fresh apple and ferric notes. The palate is
more restrained with juicy fruit, initially flowing but increasingly
spicy, firm and mineral. Tapering towards a multi-layered

Attractively-balanced on the nose, deep, intricate, yellow
fruit, orange blossom, wet stone and herbs. The palate is
well-judged with restrained proportions and flow. Finishes
with stone-dusted minerality, citrus notes and juicy acidity.

Smoky, stony nose. Grip, focus and bright fruit. Intricate on
the palate, also fine juiciness, notes of tangerine, lemon,
some stone fruit. Lean structure with firm, salty acidity.
Slightly drying in the middle, but balanced and expressive.
Citrusy-mineral aftertaste. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

Riesling Beerenauslese
A fine nose with apple and liquorice and clear spiciness from
the distinctive red soil. On the palate an almost brutal acidity,
but well-integrated into the overall texture and sweetness
along with the spicy minerality. The finish is round and
smooth. Multifaceted and fascinating. 6,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€
