Schauner, third generation winemakers
at this family-run estate, have dedicated
themselves whole-heartedly to Müller-Thurgau,
a grape variety that is often underestimated.
Steffen von der Tann makes a juicy “OMG”
Müller-Thurgau, with longs skin contact. Its
six months on lees were evidently beneficial,
too. This is a wine that meets both winemakers’
ambitions to turn out wines with a bit of
edge and character – and a twinkle in the eye.
A most appealing attitude.

Striking light green hues in the glass, fragrant nose of white
flowers and candied lemon peel. A crunchy acidity on the palate
with freshness but also suppleness, slightly salty on the

Landwein trocken
The nose is cool and fresh. On the palate the wine is juicy
with a little hint of quince, slightly smoky, good acidity, delicately
and animatingly bitter. The long maceration time and
the six-month lees ageing result in a very individual

Müller-Thurgau Spätlese
A very delicate nose, fragrant and soft with hints of apple. On
the palate a fine and also fresh sweetness with a lot of juice
and flow, firm core, plus a powerful finish. Very good food
wine, still youthful. 12 Vol.-%. screwcap, €
90 2018 »Rotbart« Domina Landwein trocken
Deep blackberry red, opaque in the glass with a juicy nose of
blueberries and hay flowers. Very dense and juicy on the palate,
fine, soft, ripe tannins, embraced by black cherry and almonds.
Good structure and nice length. Enjoyable!

Delicate light green in appearance. A fine fresh fragrance
of white berries and some nutmeg notes. On the palate,
delicate creaminess, harmonious fine acidity with a certain
minerality and a refreshing finish. A perfect picnic
