This family-run estate, taken over from
their parents by Michael and Thomas
Andres in 2015, stands for reliably constant
quality with excellent wines at the top.
The wines that they make are characterised
strongly by their Mittelhaardt terroir – spanning
the spectrum from poor Triassic sandstone
to opulent calcareous marl. Gentleness
towards nature and their grapes is key for the
pair and the results are most respectable: the
mineral and juicy Rieslings from the sites of
“Ungeheuer” and “Leinhöhle” turned out exquisitely
well, they are complex and will age
beautifully.

Complex with fine spice, yellow fruit and minerality. Juicy on
the palate without fullness, rather concentrated and yet
weightless. Clear and focused at the same time. Fine spiciness,
depth, stony minerality, citric, salty acidity. Fine and

Riesling trocken
Fine, deep yellow fruit and mild spice aromas. Stone-dusted
minerality flows on the palate. Balanced, clear, interwoven,
delicate juiciness is followed by fine phenolic, shattered rock,
tart hints, fresh citrus fruit and fully integrated acidity.

Riesling trocken
Smoky, stony notes, light yellow fruit, behind it delicate spice
and depth. Full-bodied and deep on the palate - complemented
by structure and stony minerality. At first calm, then
building up more and more tension. Fine mineral grip, citric,

Riesling trocken
Focused, yellow and green fruit, some stone fruit, chamomile,
pepper and a dusty minerality. Juicy on the palate but
with some leanness and greener notes. Vivid phenolics,
youthful citrus, zest and shattered rock minerality. Saltyfresh
