Hectares: 6 ha
Anita Landesvatter farms six hectares
of vines on the Triassic Keuper and
sandstone soils around the Strom- and
Heuchelberg. This winemaker, who has also
worked in California, presented a whole series
of respectable red wines: a savoury Portugieser
and a dark-berried, substantial Lemberger
from the 2018 vintage. The grippy Cabenet
Mitos from the 2014 vintage also turned out
well while the Riesling from the Haberschlachter
Dachsberg impresses with good substance.
The juicy Lemberger rosé induces involuntary
drinking reflexes.

Ripe stone fruit on the nose, followed by apple and floral
notes. Mild on the palate with good substance and soft acidity,
fine spice and floral notes. Riesling that is likely to cause
gastronomic associations for many a sommelière and sommelier.

Elderberry and blackberry jam with some spicy scents, followed
by some blood orange, beetroot, smoke, mocha and a
hint of chocolate tart. Well-built on the palate with juice and
fine spice, intense and with depth, flanked by ripe and grippy
tannins. A pleasant varietal expression. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Spicy and also malty notes on the nose, followed by dark fruit
aromas of black cherry, elderberry, blackberry and a hint of
pepper. Animating and grippy on the palate, hardly any note of
evolution, albeit powerful and well-built with volume and tension.

Rich blackberry and black cherry aromas with a hint of vanilla
and spicy, floral notes too. Powerful on the palate with
good substance and spice flanked by ripe tannins, well-
developed acidity and also ripe fruit notions. Will continue to
mature. Potential. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Attractive scents of blackberry, black cherry and raspberry.
On the palate, the fresh acidity and the clear, sweet fruit
quickly harmonise. Slender rosé with a Swabian accent
that should also appeal beyond the region's borders.
