It is hardly possible to be more historic
than this estate. An almost 400-year-old
family tradition connects Weingut Wwe.
Dr. Thanisch – Erben Müller-Burggraef to the
history of Bernkastel’s most famous vineyard:
the Doctor. When an ailing prince recovered
his health after enjoying wine from this site in
the 14th century, it was named Doctor. To this
day, this steep site is amongst the best in the
Mosel. Cellar master Maximilian Ferger exploits
this potential and makes juicy, tension-laden
Rieslings that unite elegance and
power – and the best, of course, hail straight
from – the Doctor.

Medium, clear yellow. On the nose mineral spiciness, crushed
rock, papaya and lime zest. Densely and complexly integrated
on the palate, fine phenolics, citrus tones, tension, tense
minerality, good structure and length. Still very young, lots

Deep, clear yellow. Still rather restrained nose, deep citrus
fruit, spicy rock nuances and herbs emerge becoming denser
with aeration. On the palate dense, compact, fine acidity,
tense minerality and ripe citrus fruit notes. Good structure
and length. Lots of potential. Noble. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€€

Pinot Noir trocken
Bright red with clear brownish reflections, evolved. On the
nose a refined evolution of undergrowth notes, rose petals,
sloe and sweet cherry. On the palate fine textured tannins,
tobacco leaf, refined acidity, has tension and elegance. Good
structure and length, very unique, great food wine.

Clear, medium yellow. On the nose fine spicy slate notes,
some smoke, lemon balm, ripe citrus fruit and pink grapefruit.
Texture on the palate with noticeable sweetness, fine
phenolics, lots of power and real stature. Anything but a light
