It is well-known that brothers Fritz and
Martin Wassmer are engaged in a constant
but healthy duel – performed in a spirit of
friendship: As soon as one brother was able to
get his hands on a prestigious site, it is only a
question of time before the other makes his
own move to present a new coup. In the very
same fashion, the quality of the wines has thus
also been on a steadily upward trajectory in
both estates, which started out as strawberry
and asparagus farms. And who is the real winner
in this eternal contest in the Pinot stronghold
of Schlatt? That remains to be seen! A
great performance from the Wassmer family!

Very fine aroma of yellow apple, star fruit, lemon and pineapple.
On the palate, these aromas as well as apricot and bourbon
vanilla are balanced by very lively acidity. A wine with a
significant finish and an ideally-integrated ageing component.

Chardonnay trocken
Medium golden yellow. Bourbon vanilla, lemon zest, ripe apple
and pear on the nose as well as on the palate. Very good
texture supported by fine acidity. A wine with good complexity
and concentration on the nose with a long finish.

Grauburgunder trocken
Complex aroma on the nose - vanilla, melon, ripe white peach
and also lemon peel. On the palate, these precise aromas are
joined by a very good texture. All supported by lively acidity
and in good balance of the elements. Very long finish.

The complex aroma of ripe cherry, clove, smoked bacon and
some pepper is poised by very lively acidity. Concentrated
and complex with good structure. The ripe tannins and light
