Cellar master Thorsten Klimek wants to
impress with a clear-cut portfolio – this
is what this cooperative in Stuttgart’s
wine-loving district of Bad Cannstatt reports.
And they manage to do so beautifully: with
their stylistic renewal, Weinfactum has become
a shining example among Württemberg’s
cooperatives. The wines no longer have
superfluous fat and they have well and truly
bid good-bye to the gluggable style of yesteryear.
With their “Pinot noir ***” and their
“Edition 1923’’ they are moving towards the
regional top.

Lemon balm, yellow plum, mint and then also spicier aromas
of caraway and cardamom. Strictly built on the palate, with a
pithy structure and crunchy extract. A Riesling for the medium
or long haul. Still closed at the moment, but with good
substance. 12 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Complex cherry fruit, herbal and with a chocolatey accompaniment,
some nougat scents too. Dense tannins, mellow
grain, with smooth foundations, ripe acidity and good in density
and depth. Finishes with juicy, warm fruit and powerful
mineral notes. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Some woody scents, coconut, milk chocolate, fig, redcurrants
and herbs. Dense tannic impression, powdery in quality
with mild acidity, but concludes with a juicy and still quite elegant
finish with mineral undertones. Taut and in need of
maturation. 13 Vol.-%. cork, €€

A very expressive cherry fruit scent, open and slight woody-complimented
note, caramel sweets and a whiff of vanilla. On the palate
there are mellow dense tannins, ripe acidity and strong alcohol.
In the finish again an intense and even somewhat "loud"wild
cherry fruit. A powerful vintage expression. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Strong colour with an opulent bouquet of pear compote,
Williams pear and a hint of marzipan. Taut on the palate,
lots of juiciness, crispy acidity, dense and at the same time
also mineral with light phenolics. A sturdy Pinot Gris with
