RECH | HERRENBERG
The Herrenberg has parcels with southern
and south-eastern aspects rising from
130-260m/426-853ft. Its former, classic
4ha/9.8acre core was increased to
17ha/42acres. Loess, loess-loam and
greywacke in its central part make up the
soils in some of which ungrafted
Spätburgunder still thrives.

ALTENAHR | ECK
This site stretches from the ruins of Ahr Castle
to the Ravenley site near Reimerzhoven. It is
the steepest single vineyard of the Ahr, facing
south-southeast, at an altitude of
150-260m/492-853ft with inclines between
40% and 60%. Viticulture has been
documented since 1249. A thin layer of
topsoil covers the approx. 8ha/19.7acres of
greywacke and weathered slate. Its steepest
terraces boasted the first monorail of the Ahr.

DERNAU | PFARRWINGERT
The name of this site is derived from the
term ‘Wingert’ (= vineyard) and was once
in the possession of the Catholic parish
church in Dernau. This south-facing, steep
site measures approx. 10ha/24.7acres
with up to 60% incline between
125-220m/410-722ft. Only 10% of the
site is gently sloped, the rest is steep. Its
