We are used to the fact that Stefan
Meyer presents us with dense and
substantial Pinots. With this year’s
range of wines, however, his craftmanship and
skill shine even more clearly. Even his entry-level
Pinot Noir “Aus Rhodt” shows grip
and drive. His Pinot Noir from the Rosengarten
site offers balance and elegance. The Pinot
Noir “Schwarzer Letten”, however, is the top
wine with enormous density and tension. But
you should not neglect the white wines, either,
like the juicy Weissburgunder. We send our
compliments to Rhodt unter Rietburg.

Some chamomile, mint and apple show on the multi-layered
nose; yeast, ripe citrus fruit and a touch of incense. Concentrated
on the palate with good substance and juice, the acidity
is confident enough to lead through the compact body.

Spicy nose with apricot, smoky notes, apple and citrus fruit,
yeasty spice. Spicy on the palate, power and good substance
show on a soft background, notes of white pepper. Dry with
tension and a slight phenolic bitter note. Youthful.

Pinot Noir trocken
Balsamic spice on the nose, nuances of ink and tar, dark fruit,
lots of black cherry. Rich and full bodied on the palate with
ripe fruit and ripe tannins. Lots of substance, texture and tension
on the mid-palate, spice on the finish. Good ageing potential.

Blueberry and cherry on the concentrated nose combine
with rose petals and violets, some Darjeeling. Compact, good
balance of power, tension, freshness and elegance, spicy and

Concentrated fine nose of cherries, gentle wood spice and
violets, blueberries as well. Powerful and clear contours on
the palate with tension, vivid tannins provide grip. A Pinot
Noir that is fun to drink on its own. Taut and pure.
