It is especially in turbulent times that
Weingut Frank’s motto is heeded most:
“If you can dream it, you can do it. Make
a plan and then get going.” This estate in
Brackenheim was founded just over a decade
ago and has since grown, so has the quality of
wines, step by step. The Riesling shows its fun
side, the Grauburgunder comes with great
substance while the reds in particular prove,
especially the profound Merlot and the spicy
Lemberger, how well they can age. We like
this development. Nothing here dampens our
confidence.

Ripe pear and fine spice scents, followed by nutty and toasty
aromas with a hint of quince. On the palate there is good substance
and structure, concise spiciness and salty notes. A dry
Pinot Gris that has not yet reached the end of its possibilities.

Ripe and powerful nose, roasted coffee beans, cassis, blood
orange and spices. Soft, velvety and spicy on the palate with
polished tannins and sweet extract, has substance, density
and power. It remains elegant, consistent and with a good

Powerful and ripe nose with blackberry, black cherry, juniper
berry and some smoked meat and beetroot. Spicy and powerful
on the palate, animating and in good shape with medium
density and the necessary freshness to keep tension and
drinking pleasure enjoyable. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€

Blend with scents of dried meat, plum, pepper and beetroot.
Powerful on the palate with good concentration; the acidity
provides balance, concise tannins in good proportion and
with grip. Pairs well with food! 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€
89 2019 Riesling ** trocken
Fruity nose of peach, apricot and apple with fine floral and
spicy notes. On the palate, fine stone fruit and lively acidity,
which harmonises well with the residual sweetness. An enjoyable
Riesling with clear expression. A mood enhancer.
