OBERWESEL | OELSBERG
The Oelsberg lies to the north of Oberwesel
in a bend of the river Rhine. This 5.8ha/14.3
acre site has rich soil: a geological fault
caused Triassic red sandstone to reach the
surface which is mixed with weathered slate
and loess. The south-facing slope has a
homogenous incline between 60-70% and
benefits climatically from the river which is
particularly wide here.
