Weinbau Dr. Wobar is the very first
estate in Brandenburg ever featured
in this guide. Just 1.4 hectares
of wines are cultivated, planted to fungal-resistant
varieties. The particular climatic
conditions around Lake Grossräschen with
2018 annual sunshine hours and 51 summer
days, mean that the grapes can ripen fully. The
marl soils of morainic origin, the day-night
temperature amplitude and yield reduction result
in aromatic wines. Jacques du Preez, cellar
master at Schloss Proschwitz, makes the
wines. We are smitten with this premiere!

Multi-layered aroma of ripe apples, stone fruit and also star
fruit, spice, mint and some menthol. Substantial power on
the palate, ripe fruit and spice, full-bodied and concentrated,
with fine astringency, multi-layered and well suited for white

Ripe yellow fruit, citrus fruit on the nose and nuances of lactic
notes. On the palate there is lively acidity and drive, the
mousse also shows dynamism, slender composition. A sparkling
wine that pleases with its direct and animating style

On the nose wild strawberry, blackberry, cherry, woody spice
and some undergrowth with a slight ethereal tone. Leanlybuilt
on the palate, good structure and extract, crisp acidity
and lots of spice. Reaches a respectable complexity and

Fragrant and fruity nose with sour cherry, elderberry and wild
blackberry. Velvety and fruity. On the palate there is mild acidity
and fine spice, leanly-composed and sensitively-extracted
with supple tannins. Nice tartness. An elegant Pinotin, pairs
well with food too. 12,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €€

Ripe citrus fruit on the nose, also passion fruit, some lemon
balm and elderflower. Full-bodied. Medium-bodied
structure n the palate, juicy with spice, good balance with
integrated acidity with a salty lingering touch, also notes
of oyster shell. Ideal on its own or to be enjoyed with fish.
