Continuing with, “We are now in the
third generation family-owned business that
has dedicated itself utterly to viticulture and
winemaking. As a family-run estate where
everyone is actively involved, it is our aim to
create a range of wines, year upon year, that
offers something for everyone”. In doing so,
Patrick and Gerd Johler have become masters
in making off-dry wines. Rounded out with an
extra dollop of slight sweetness, these wines
happily serve a wide circle of wine lovers – and
that is down to that intuitive final balance.
89 2019 Sauvignon Blanc feinherb
Apple and caraway, akin to a natural wine nose, also peppery
aromas, peppermint. On the palate there is a comparatively
strong body, fresh carbon dioxide, firm acidity and fruit-accompanied
sweetness, a dense, spicy wine with quite an different

A pleasant, delicately spicy varietal expression on the nose,
slightly nutty, slightly citrusy, walnut. Straightforward on
the palate; gentle sweetness, slender, lively acidity. A fresh,
uncomplicated wine and an ideal aperitif.

Almond, elderberry and mint on the nose. Quite dense, taut
tannins on the palate. Firm acidity and slight leafy overtones
are well integrated and will dissipate as the wine matures in
the bottle. The beautiful, clear, cherry and herb finish lingers

Cocoa bean and pepper on the nose. Fine tannins, carefully
extracted, are underpinned by juicy-sweet fruit, vivid but well
integrated acidity, fruit-borne finish. A neat, off-dry red wine.

Initially still yeasty on the nose, followed by a spicy, ripe varietal
style, sweet chestnut, sesame. Round and comparatively
smooth on the palate, almost creamy; ripe acidity,
moderate extract. A well defined varietal expression.
