The fact that young Pascal Oberhofer
looks to the world for inspiration is immediately
evident in his wines. His ambition
is apparent, and so is his drive for quality.
His parents, who converted the estate to
organic farming as early as 2008, lend their
full support. Their know-how when it comes
to fresh Gewürztraminer is in their DNA: in
the Rhodter Rosengarten site, they look after
the oldest vines in all of Germany and manage
to wring precious and fine juice from these ancient
Gewürztraminer vines year after year.
The Spätburgunders not only show ambition
but point to rare talent.

A little yeast, buttery notes, ripe yellow fruit, apricot. On the
palate; full bodied with a firm core but not aggressive, fresh
mousse, lively acidity and a savoury astringency. A very good
aperitif due to its dry nature. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Chardonnay trocken
Creamy oak and creamy generosity are pronounced on the
nose. The nutty, oaky resonance is great on the palate; a little
mirabelle plum joins in, as does discreet freshness. Lovers of
supple Chardonnays can feast on this. 14 Vol.-%. cork, €€

Both smoke and earthy tones are gentle and elegant on the
nose. On the palate, illuminating freshness encounters firm
but fine tannins, pleasantly bitter phenolics and smoky fruit
is a singular pleasure. A masterstroke of elegance.

Wet earth and wet, fallen oak leaves can be made out along
with a light, flinty reduction. Firm tannins on the palate, fine
phenolics, bright, fresh, beautiful Pinot acidity and elegant concentration.

Fragrant, soft, creamy rose tones mingle with orange peel
on the nose. On the palate, the orange peel comes to the
fore, is mouthwatering and stimulating and provides plenty
of texture. The finish is fresh and tart which suits the
rose aroma very well. 12,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €
