When it comes to aromatic grape varieties,
Tobias Weickert is a rare
talent: there are now five different
dry Scheureben which he presented. Each and
every one is a separate character with its own
mind and own talents. The culmination of this
year’s range, however, is the Katzenkopf
Traminer: a wine that combines expressiveness
with noble restraint and which makes the
Triassic limestone sing through its varietal
spice. The new packaging also suits the style of
the wines: it remains subtle and emphasises
the essential information – just like the wines.

Smoky reduction on the nose, with citrus zest, tangerine,
light herbal notes. On the palate supple, full, slightly viscous,
very cultivated acidity, silky finish with underlying tactile

Grapefruit, ripe grape and flint on the nose; very clear and nuanced.
On the palate smoothly flowing, still very closed, elegant

A fragrance of damp sand, with citrus fruit in the background
- candied lemon peel. Straightforward on the palate, definitely
with body and slight suppleness, but aromas are primarily
marked by the soil with smoky notes. A delicate

Scheurebe Spätlese trocken
Floral and grapefruit, lavender, lemongrass. Poised and supple
on the palate, also finely phenolic textured, ripe acidity,
delicate sweetness, fresh with viscous extract layers on the
finish. The most expressive of all the estate's dry Scheureben.
