Lisa Bunn and her husband Bastian
Strebel have presented a flawless
range of wines. This cements their reputation as
outstanding winemaking personalities in
Rheinhessen. Their 21 hectares of different sites
and various soil types lends them a spectrum,
that reaches from the fresh Riesling “Fleissigen
Lieschen” via the savoury Sauvignon Blanc
“Fumé Reserve” all the way to the finely mineral
Riesling from the Niersteiner Hipping. And
we should not forget to mention the finely-balanced,
aromatic reds: both the Sankt Laurent
and the Spätburgunder are very enjoyable.

Rich, clear yellow. Mineral scent, apricot and pink grapefruit.
On the palate ripe acidity, fine phenolics, citrus, mineral traction,
tension and elegance all leading to a nice structure.
Needs some time to fully evolve but has the power and potential
to last for years. 12,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€€
91 2019 Nierstein Orbel Riesling trocken
Rich, clear yellow. On the nose, mineral, ripe lime, pink grapefruit
and some matchstick notes. The palate offers an invigorating
acidity, ripe citrus fruit, mineral pull and fine phenolics.
Appealing structure, good length, finishes elegantly.

St. Laurent trocken
Rich, deep and clear cherry red. On the nose red berries, Amarena
cherry, herbal spice, cloves, some cinnamon and vanilla,
but retaining freshness. Fine, well-balanced tannins on
the palate, with cherry, spices and prunes. Harmonious acidity,
good length, finishes with spice. 13,5 Vol.-%. cork, €€
92 2018 Wintersheim Spätburgunder trocken
Medium cherry red, brownish rim. On the nose spicy cherry,
some smoke, blackberry and fresh plum. On the palate
shows fine tannins, dark red fruits, cherry, tobacco and forest
floor, good structure, very balanced with a nice length.

Clear cherry red. On the nose sour cherry, some smoke,
fresh blackcurrants and spiciness. On the palate harmonious,
