Whoever wants to take a deep dive
into the diversity of grape varieties
that are grown in Rheinhessen and
appreciates a clear-cut, traditional wine style
has found the right address here: Weingut
Fleischmann in Gau-Algesheim. For absolutely
fair prices you get quite some wine: like the
layered and well-balanced Riesling “Ouvertüre”,
for instance, grown in the Gau-Algesheimer
Steinert. The winery is run by Quirin
and Stephanie Fleischmann along with their
son Fabian, a Geisenheim graduate. Together
they farm 17 hectares of vines. Compliments!

Multi-layered aromas with ripe stone fruit, pear, melon, honeycomb,
herb garden and spicy hints. Generous in all dimensions
on the palate, has power, extract, sweet roundness,
spice, length and silky elegance, juicy and with ripe acidity.

Scheurebe Kabinett
Very clear and fresh on the nose, grapefruit and candied lemon
peel. Vivid sweetness, firm acidity, relatively powerful for
a Kabinett, but the raciness of the acidity and the fresh aromatics

Ripe apricot and grapefruit on the nose, flowers and meadow
herbs, juicy and elegant. On the palate the acidity sets the
tone and there is clear fruit, delicate spice, good balance and
lots of texture. Has real charm and a bargain for lovers of

Pear, quince and honeydew melon on the nose, also autumnal
hints, herbs, chestnuts and nuts. Powerfully-built on the
palate with good structure and balance, finely-rounded with
some sweetness, shows extract and a resilient acid structure.
