Organic winemaker Markus Bruker did
not only give a new label design to his
wines, no he also made sure their inner
qualities were newly up to scratch. They are
characterised by savouriness and freshness
and are very enjoyable – this is not an unimportant
factor for Bruker whose family runs
a superior hotel and restaurant in Grossbottwar.
We especially liked his Chardonnay
“Oberstenfeld” with its firm core and grippy
structure. The Riesling Spätlese “Rotkeuper”
is also really beautiful – and would be just perfect
with an apple tart.

Clear yellow. On the nose some honeydew melon, delicate
smoke nuances, ripe peach and a whiff of vanilla. On the palate
luscious fruits with ample power and structure and rather
restrained acidity; coherently-built, firm core and good
length. Pairs well with food. 14 Vol.-%. DIAM, €€

Pale honey yellow in appearance with scents of lime zest,
blackcurrant plus some herbal spice; piquant. On the palate
clear fruit, citrus, blackcurrant accentuated by power and
structure with well-integrated ripe acidity and restrained residual
sweetness. Good length. 14 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€

Clear, light yellow. On the nose scents of freshly crushed
grapes, followed by nutmeg and elderflower; fresh. On the
palate lime juice, spiciness with lively acidity, in good harmony,
medium length. Ideal as an aperitif. 13 Vol.-%. screwcap, €

Delicate honey yellow. Rich scents of almond, ripe pear and
peach notes. Textural onset of ripe fruit with almond nuances,
well-integrated, rather restrained acidity and a good
length. Pinot Gris with traction and power. Ideal with white
meat and mushroom dishes. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €

Riesling Spätlese
Clear honey yellow. Scents of ripe citrus fruit, passion fruit,
some crushed rock and mineral hints. On the palate clear
fruit, ripe peach, red grapefruit and a nice interplay between
acidity and noticeable sweetness. Offers good balance
and length with apparent freshness. Ideal with apple
tart. 7,5 Vol.-%, screwcap, €€
