You can rely on Markus Hillabrand: his
wines are testament to skilful viticulture
and solid winemaking. These
wines are not showy and Hillabrand does not
feel compelled to smooth out every last wrinkle.
This predestines the wines for the table –
and for the advanced wine drinker. Our favourite
amongst the wines he presented this
year is his Scheurebe from the Bullenheimer
Paradies site – a wine that is more about site
than about variety and that comes with real
depth. For eight weeks each in spring and summer
Hillebrand also pops up with his Heckenwirtschaft
at the estate.

Smoky, grapefruit, a very intense yet fresh varietal spiciness.
Ripe acidity on the palate, noble extract and concentrated
tactile minerality. A Scheurebe with considerable depth,
length and great natural balance. 13,5 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€
with acidity well integrated into the body, and with a "cool",

Some beeswax, apple and herbal notes. Full-bodied, dry and
rounded on the palate; straightforward, firm but ripe acidity.
A powerful Silvaner where the balance comes from extract
and minerality. Excellent ageing potential.

Tannenberg Riesling trocken
A Riesling fruit that starts out closed and gains more and
more breadth and radiance in the glass, peach, pineapple,
white redcurrant, yeasty notes and spicy aromas with a hint
of beeswax. Full, almost bold on the palate, lots of substance,
pithy acidity, mineral tones. 14 Vol.-%. screwcap, €€

A very clear fruit, candied pineapple, vine peach and medlar
fruit. On the palate there is a fine flow, round and smooth,

Goldmuskateller trocken
Spicy aroma of nutmeg with some herbs in the background,
flint, yeast, complex and quite intense, but not
overbearing. On the palate a smooth onset, disciplined alcohol
and quite dry, firm in acidity and rich in body.
